We attempted the Tour de France... well sort of.

Tour de Food is Gourmandize UK & Ireland's idea of what the Tour de France should really be like. Travelling around unsolicited towns and regions with the aim of discovering its traditional cuisine.

Tour de Food would highlight the often forgotten regions of France, with each stop on the Tour de France's route, we'd encourage our members in uploading their own recipes, while also providing information and recipes of the surrounding area.

Gathering the recipes would allow us to gift our members with some incredible prizes, courtesy of Bonjour French Box!

Starting in Yorkshire (with an unavoidable Yorkshire Pudding I might add), we took off the same time as the racers excited to see what the next three weeks would bring.

Members could tweet, upload recipes and pictures to our social network platforms using the hashtage #TourdeFood, or simply upload recipes to Gourmandize UK & Ireland.

The response we received from our blogging community completely astonished us with the amount of recipes that were uploaded to Gourmandize UK & Ireland!

We could not have asked for more in terms of the recipes and quality pictures we received!

They're all absolutely amazing choosing the winning recipes was harder than we thought!

Our three winners were:

1/ Wandercrush's Butternut Samosanadas

Healthy, easy and delicious looking! It was done deal really.

2/ Fork & Good's Vegan Snack Bites

Easy to bake, these triangles of goodness are so easy to carry everywhere you go!

3/ Yet Another Blogging Mummy's Garlic Wraps

We thought these were perfect for those busy days, with kids or not, when all you have time for is a quick zap in the oven!

Thank you again to everybody who entered their amazing 'on-the-go' recipes to us!

The Gourmandize Team.
